Welp, tomorrow I leave. I didn't do the best at time management, evidenced by the piles of crap in my room mentally sorted into "clothing", "repair", "toiletries", "food", "camping", "cooking", and "entertainment".
To get back more to the beginning of the last few days here is an image from the treehouse in East Van looking out over the Narrows Bridge and the commercial shipping lane.

I have to give it to the city for allowing this structure to remain standing. There is so much potentially wrong with it, especially given that I'm sure most of the people to recreate on it are at some point high or drunk. There is a wonderful sketchy swing that swings one out over a sloping cliff and into some type of tree. Its pretty exhilarating. I wish I had gotten camera photos of the swing in action but it was too dark and the second time I went I was the only one enjoying the swing and didn't think to pass off the phone.
Other interesting things (if you are in the polo world) is that I attended Robbie Boardz (Hashtag Deablo Boardz) birthday which happened to be the same day as my father's. People here in Canada have to deal with mr boards all the time and so he has lost his shine. I remember being shown the robbie boards show when I first started playing polo and thinking "its like Jackass for polo meets trailer park boys". And that was pretty much his party.Shed dance parties, bike getting tied up, weird chicken fights, breaking glass and tossing flasks around, fires in wheel barrows (and all that entails) as well as a slew of super awesome folks. All in all, glad I went.
The polo here has been fan-fucking-tastic. Coming from a small club its crazy to have 3 rounds of polo (especially when they aren't playing king of the court, cough, SF, cough) and have some high intensity but , generally, good natured fun.

Things have been really awesome here and Vancouver has definitely taken a little bit of my heart. Its bittersweet, and hard to leave, but at the same time, I'm super stoked for my trip. First stop, Sunshine Coast! I cleared the phone of photos (except those of bears and cats) and should have a lot to upload when I get to my 2nd cousin's (?) house on Lopez Island, back in the States. Here are a few more photos of great things in Vancouver.
